Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

I galumphed through my desert life with gimcracks as my possessions; suddenly, the hug of a gentle cool breeze, God's embrace; lush green, cold stream, sweet berries, His haiku, His rebuses in nature's script; now I gallop, and with gem-sacks in my soul. (by QuaQua)

Harriet was explaining how she'd overcome haiku's syllable limits by using rebuses in her poems when Rudi came galumphing in on a gimcrack hobbyhorse he'd found in the cellar and warned her that such chimerical submissions would never be accepted by the poetry competition. (by beth)

After five minutes perusing the gimcracks in the checkout line at the bookstore, Sarah is usually ready to leave, but I can happily spend hours galumphing around the place hunting for treasures like an 18th century collection of haiku in Japanese or a rare first-edition illustrated puzzle book of rebuses and word searches. (by Eli)

It was only his haiku apology that redeemed the galumphing waiter in the bookstore-cafe, who mistook the shelves for the kitchen, and brought gimcrack to a tea-thirsty man (yours truly): "Sorry that I served / 'Rebus: Pictogram Puzzles' / We're out of rooibos!" (by Rudi)
