Curious to know how his favorite wines aged in larger containers, Larry signed up for the Methuselah Meetup aboard a fancy yacht in Boston Harbor, but he arrived to find no 6-liter bottles of vino ready for sampling (not even a Jeroboam or a lousy Magnum), only oodles of nonagenarians mingling alow and aloft, and a few distrait caretakers who considered it an affront – really the last straw – that their bosses at the local nursing homes required them to supervise this harrowing excursion. I chanced upon a man one day who made Methuselah seem spritely and I, with no intention to affront, so thus asked quite politely “Who here is your companion?” and he without distrait replied “Death is this good friend you see and soon he moves from me to thee” and when I looked alow in dread he smiled and very gently said, “but do not fear your time is near/ but when he walks beside you/ you will find with clearer mind he come not to deride you/ but purely here to hold you dear and softly just to guide you.” (by gumo420)

A veritable Methuselah amongst neuro-psychiatrists, the ninety-two year-old Dr. Pysher limped and equivocated his way through the days, sails for the most part furled alow and aloft, as it were, distrait and unable to focus on his patients' symptoms on account of retaining just enough air in his sails to be aware of his increasing limitations and, unfortunately, also to be quite angrily affronted if they questioned his tendency to prescribe Vicks' VapoRub for everything from migraines to restless leg syndrome.
