Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

Maestro Hammerfist, living in a cloud-cuckoo-land, conceived his forte as his fortissimo (that is, he considered his musical specialty to be his ability to play at high volume), but audiences did not appreciate the cacophonous results of this idea, and the pianist's agent had to do a lot of jiggery-pokery to get any concert bookings. Here in Cloud Cuckoo Land, where the rivers run with Dogfish Head Beer, Hugo and Nebula Award winners grow on trees, and the air is filled with the cheerful cacophony of comic DVD's on the wing, our forte is innocent enjoyment, so there isn't really ever any need for skulduggery or jiggery-pokery, but we still enjoy a little hanky panky from time to time. 'You must be in cloud-cuckoo-land if you think I'm not wise to your promiscuous jiggery-pokery!' screamed his neglected wife, bombarding him with crockery and glassware; whereupon - amid a cacophony of breakages - he attempted to counter that continued fidelity to such a drab, tedious harridan was simply not his forte.
