Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

While some dieters are swept backwards in their efforts by overpowering eddies of hunger, and others are led astray by the chicanery of infomercial hosts peddling ineffective weight-loss gimmicks, Sheila has achieved a waif-like figure through an indefatigable and exclusive allegiance to celery. The first line Sam ‘Momo’ Giancana read from his ghostwriter was ‘Life had set this hapless waif adrift in hostile currents but, with indefatigable resolve, avoiding all chicanery, he set an eddying course and won the heart of a nation’ which made his conciliary laugh and Sam had no choice but to have them both killed. Big Eddy (true to his name, carried along all his life by the currents that form when obstacles are encountered) had spent the last thirty-five years practicing lazy chicanery - cheating on his exams, his taxes, and now on his third wife - mistakenly imagining himself possessed of indefatigable cunning and resourcefulness until his polar opposite, the improbably waifish Detective Inspector Adamantine "Tina" Bolkonski, caught him sniffing up some white powder off the floor of the mini-mart and was able to put him away for seven-to-nine, largely by the expedient of failing to mention in her report that the powder had turned out to be dishwasher detergent, much to Big Eddy's disappointment. Unobserved, Fagin followed the indefatigable chicaneries of his motley waifs and strays as they eddied back and forth about the marketplace, artfully dodging and weaving, picking more than a pocket or two. (by Et Seqq)
