Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

Pultrinella waited while her young swain ran into the new age apothecary's where, unbeknownst to her, he requested a love potion and was given a choice between the charm that would make her love him as he was and the drug that would make him the apotheosis of manly beauty (but might leave him unloved), whereat he was suspended so long between the choices, like Buridan's ass, that sultry Pultrinella, who had already tired of him, gave up and walked away. Our local apothecary, a compulsive prankster, recently dispensed to a chronically hypochondriacal love-sick customer a bottled placebo curiously labelled 'Solution of Buridan's Ass' which, once taken strictly as prescribed, in its apparent inefficacy only persuaded the sorry swain that he must be the apotheosis of yearning indecision, for he remained rationally incapable of choosing between his two enduring passions - the beautiful Henrietta who was rich but stupid, or the equally beautiful Nora who was stupid but rich. Walking home after a consultation with the town's duly credentialed apothecary, having just ingested all the sparkling powder from a vial labeled Rheumatism Cure, Eliza hallucinated one swain on her left, and another swain on her right -- each seeming to her the apotheosis of youthful charm, the redhead beckoning her east to Arcadia, the blond beckoning her west to Shangri-La -- and, unable to identify the fittest companion, the handsomest hair color, or the most pleasing destination, she stood paralyzed like Buridan's ass, lingering in indecision until an imagined troll guided her back to the hovel containing her superannuated spouse (bald).
