Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

My beautiful collection of postcards from around the world, a combined result of my deltiology and my husband's travels, was now in shambles, after my dog jumped up from his ambuscade under the table where I kept the collection, and ruthlessly chased the stray cat all around my study until she decided to climb up on my almirah where he couldn't reach her. (by QuaQua)

For over half an hour I lay in ambuscade before springing out suddenly from behind a bush to take the postie unawares, venting my hatred of deltiologists and their liveried accomplices by showing no ruth in first pinioning him, then making a shambles of his orderly postbag by tipping out its contents and tearing into tiny shreds every picture postcard bearing on its reverse the motto 'Nice wether were aving a luvly time whish you was ear'. (by Et Seqq)

As his computer room turned to shambles in the ambuscade, the cowering hacker downplayed his malfeasance—"I'm no email thief, just a digital deltiologist!"—but his girlfriend, a live action role-playing enthusiast now dressed as a stormtrooper, showed little tolerance for his "postcard collecting," and no ruth for his hardware. (by Rudi)

In the bloody shambles that remained after our ambuscade of the Viet Cong raiding party we found the stolen M-203s (mostly intact), some maps of the area around My Tho and, unexpectedly, our late, unlamented Lieutenant Miller's collection of pornographic postcards still in their tin box with "DELTA 3" written on the top in laundry marker (famously referring to the Mekong Delta, the delta of Venus, and Deltiology) and, once we'd retrieved the guns and the maps, without remorse or ruth we rolled the bodies off the road, chucked the tin on top, and continued on our way.
