Whenever it rains very hard for very long, we get some serious fluvial geomorphology going on in the basement, since the water brings in a fair amount of detritus with it when it streams in and the detritus stays behind after the water has drained away, so I know we have cause to distrain upon the waterproofing company's goods and chattels until the problem is fixed (although now that I think of it, with the right lighting, a couple of vivos and a pa'ho, and some potted palms, we could create a minuscule archipelago down there and stand around on the islands of sediment in our brightly colored sarongs, listening to the lapping of the waves). Feeling she was owed a kiss in exchange for one she had blown, and considering this debt no minuscule matter, Jill distrained Jack's sarong -- the cloth he had left by the side of the stream during his solo skinny-dip -- but the seized property would have no value for Jill beyond the nostalgic, as a hungry crocodile would soon end her lover's fluvial excursion.
