Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

After wending my way through the alphabet in attempt to construct a scintillating pangram, my efforts yielding a sentence neither sparkly nor lexically comprehensive, I decided to play an impromptu game of shinney with my crumpled page as the puck, my leg as the stick, and the wastebasket as the goal. (by Rudi)

After a long day of driving, from the rear of the minivan, having awaited his turn at his family's favorite word game, pangram, the second eldest attempted, "Alfred better convince Dad every flippin'...", but he was cut short by the loud, rushing sound of Bumble Bee Tuna cans spilling from the tractor trailer ahead, scintillating in the dark as the father wended his way through the cans, observing, "Would anyone rather play shinney?" (by dust)

When Jack and Billy and their friends used to play shinney on the frozen pond in back of the Burns' barn, not only did they have to make do with broom handles for hockey sticks but, as they would wend their respective ways to the pond, they would be on the lookout for something to use as a puck (more often than not a frozen cow dropping), on one occasion prompting Jack to bring an empty one of those small rectangular metal tins of slate wax which was not only amazingly speedy on the ice, but blindingly scintillating on a sunny day, inspiring his brother to compose a panegyric pangram: "Jack quickly moved up front and seized the Big Can of Wax!" The Sphinx of black quarts disappeared and we promptly judged that it would be better to wend our way from the Imbaba bridge to an antique shop filled with scintillating ivory buckles inscribed with the words ‘my vow’, and then further, for the next prize was to be ours, so a judge said, only if we could come up with an answer encapsulating at least one pangram containing the word ‘shinney’ (in its new version, he insisted, where the equipment of the game was made out of words), then when we were about to receive the prize, quick flashes, as if throwing off sparks, appeared and I woke up, then slowly got ready and checked out of the hotel, as it was our last day in Cairo before flying back home. 'As if I'd be fazed by a poxy lipogram challenge, by Jove!' declared Miss Minnow Pea, wending her way up a blind alley while pucking a shinney can (curiously labelled 'Alphabe**i Spaghe**i') over Queenie's head, provoking such a scorcher of a comeback Ella could only gasp 'scintillating!', instantly realising that she had thereby committed the ultimate solecism - a terminal pangram.
