Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

Like the salmon he pursued, Fred Hagerty was anadromous, living at sea as captain of a fishing trawler but heading upstream on the Kongakut River to spawn with the help of Mrs. Hagerty (whose solferino complexion, the result of weathering and high blood pressure, might have discouraged a lesser man), so that he had long ago blown to smithereens the national average of 2.5 children per family, in fact progressing from Hagerty to the zeroth power all the way to Hagerty cubed in under ten years. In the Zeroth Adventure of Solferino, we meet the protagonist alone in the open Atlantic, outcast from his anadromous school because he's purplish red and not gray like the others, and because he's queerly uninterested in their breeding rituals; in the First Adventure we see Solferino's heroism emerge, as he saves his brethren from being torn to smithereens by a murderous shark who would stop their annual return to fresh water. Joseph’s campaign to renumber the days of the month to start with the zeroth (the only way that made sense to his programmer’s brain) had him swimming against the current of mainstream thought processes like some anadromous parent-to-be looking for a place to spawn; the result of this futile effort always seemed to be the appearance of a throbbing, solferino-colored vein on his temple followed soon thereafter by his threatening to blow the world to smithereens. 'I ordered salmon pink, but now you tell me you've only got Perkin's mauvine and acres of bloody solferino, and that just blows to smithereens my Paris Spring collection on an anadromous theme; so if I can't achieve my zenith as zeroth inter pares by going against the tide and spawning a new style, then I'm all washed up for my seminal vernal nautical-fluminal foible.'
