I thought I had hired a real sherpa to guide me up the mountain, but foul luck retained for me the services of a brummagem sherpa – an imposter who arrived for work clad in pricey synthetic “sherpa” fabric, promptly began complaining about some nondescript pip in his foot, and as we finally set off, revealed a uxorious longing to return home to his wife. Nick L. Indime, a shady numismatic expert and fierce trader (but pathetically uxorious - she extracted every chicane thing he knew), upon serving as our finance sherpa to the World Currency Arbitrage Colloquium did indeed ferret out the scam behind our recent dramatic currency down-pips: brummagem gold pieces black marketeered by his wife. He were excessively fond and foolish, the uxorious old bastard, when it came to his new young wife, who give us all the pip, such a piece of brummagem, fine enough to look at but useless as a chocolate teapot, us thinking he'd a been better off making an honest woman of the Sherpa followed him home from the Himmerlayers of Nipple. "I prefer uxorious to hen-pecked", my husband asserted to the sherpa who I had hired to lead him to the top of the mountain where rare apples grew, whose pips were purported by a brummagem healer to have magical beauty-restoring power, a claim that turned out to be as elusive as my rapidly fading beauty. You can call me uxorious if you wish, but after i was pipped by my wife's insistence that I should write the designers of Haute Couture in Paris to convince them to introduce Sherpa fleeced dresses in their next winter collection, I hardly heard a peep from them in return, except for one who sniffed in turgid language that it was a 'brummagem material indign to bear the Maison's name'. Her indoors got for me off of a market stall one of them sherpa fleece jackets - nasty brummagem bit of tat it was, all cobbled together out of polyester and nylon, and what with its sticking zip and bringing me out in a nasty rash it really gave me the pip; but I'm such a uxorious pip-squeak I told the old battle-axe it was just grand, and that she shouldn't have.
