Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

Maud and Baud, coincidentally looking fairly twin-like as the latest double act to attempt the septuagenarian duet taradiddle matchups, lost miserably each round after nonplussing the judges by not contrasting their personalities, proclivities or moods, but instead – by misapplying the ‘match’ concept – asserted similar bumptious, obnoxious personae. Bumptious Barry, titillated by his own taradiddles, makes a comedic double act with his brother Bart, grave and diffident skeptic, nonplussed by all equivocation. (by Rudi)

After the investigative TV program '40-Minutes-If-You-Exclude-The-Commercials' doggedly pursued for years and eventually unmasked the double act known as The TresFaux Twins as "a sad tale of a little taradiddle" by revealing that the "twins" were in fact completely unrelated, the Twins' agent Snarky Sharkey was nonplussed for a whole week until he declared bumptiously that he had known about it all along and that it was not unusual to represent non-twins as twins "as in for example the Minnesota Twins or the proverbial Swedish twins." (by Sami)

Flim, the bumptious half of the popular double-act 'Flim & Flam', came out with such a characteristic farrago of lies, with such elaborately implausible taradiddle, that his dumb stooge Flam just stood there by his side, utterly nonplussed when called upon in court to contribute his own explanation for their partnership's long-standing tax evasion and for the grotesque disparity in their respective earnings. (by Et Seqq)

It was by way of the unsuccessful Vaudeville double act Tara & Diddle that the word "taradiddle" first found its way into English parlance; for among the many nonplussed witnesses to the pretentious nonsense of Tara Zellers and her bumptious cohort Harvey Diddle was a vindictive lexicographer, who immortalized the duo for all time in this unflattering portmanteau.
