Before our corporate sensitivity training (for gender, culture, ethnicity, sexual orientation etc.), we all thought that Vlad was just a hopeless pantywaist in need of a periodic thrashing, but during said training, we all repudiated our catastrophic attitude and we were taught that he was in fact, as the big powerpoint slide on the wall phrased it, "uniquely polymorphous", a man-princess, a queen, a fairy, a vila as they say in his country. My polymorphous antagonist then went through a dizzying series of frightful transformations: from human to vila, vila to gryphon, gryphon to chimera, chimera to insurance salesman, insurance salesman to telemarketer, telemarketer to Jehovah's Witness, Jehovah's Witness to that pantywaist Zellhorst from Accounting, Zellhorst to Donald Trump, Donald Trump to an evil dwarf, and from the evil dwarf to (most catastrophically of all!) the E*Trade baby, whose droll, diaper-clad investment banter had me chortling with such delight that I lowered my guard, missed the fiend's coup de grâce, and lost the battle.
