After guzzling a jorum or two, Tony found it challenging to distinguish percepts from imaginings, and so he said gesundheit when the woman next to him at the bar hadn't sneezed, and he proceeded to compliment her on the attractive sonority of the (imagined) utterance as if it had been an epigamic swan's call. To you, pal, whose liquid moderation may well be legendary, the percept before us may indeed appear to be that of a . . . Gesundheit! . . . jorum, but to me it is but a mere thimble of the divine usquebaugh - my own darling colleen, whose epigamic allure renders me so defencelessly companionable that . . . Gesundheit! . . . I care not that your constant insufflation of snuff besets my excellent discourse with such grotesque . . . Gesundheit! . . . sternutation. (by Et Seqq)

When Fardles sneezed into my jorum of cider, my first perception was that it was a deliberate insult (for he had pointed his proboscis deep into the vessel, and then hovered there a moment, until the sneeze exploded with effluvial fury); but when a moment later I noticed several females undulating towards him, I remembered that Fardles hailed from Ruritania, and in that land sneezing into a jorum of cider is an epigamic act, rather like the spreading of a bird's tailfeathers, or the shaking of a teenaged booty on YouTube; so I quietly offered him a congratulatory *gesundheit*, and then tiptoed away, not to disturb his mating ritual. "Gesundheit!" I exclaimed to the pretty woman who had just sneezed, hoping my worldliness and sophistication would act as an epigamic percept on her, but she rejected my advance and lectured me that "we say 'God bless you' here in America", a disappointment which kept me silent and hiding behind my jorum of gin and tonic for the rest of the evening.
