The skin care products company CleanSkin threw a clinquant celebrity-laden launch party when it entered the Australian market but it was forced to beat a hasty retreat a few weeks later when it emerged that thousands of toothless hicks in the Outback, callow as they were in cosmetic fineries, had fallen ill after imbibing prodigious amounts of the lotions, having mistaken them for Australian cleanskin wine.
