A convoluted position arose on the chessboard, in which the Norwegian wunderkind Magnus Carlsen was able to force his opponent (the Latvian genius Alexei Shirov) into zugzwang by means of a deft zwischenzug maneuver; whereupon Shirov's sole recourse was a voulu and contrived tactical sequence, whose insufficiency he afterward proclaimed, in the post-game press conference, as "utterly putrescible."

After a convoluted series of mishaps, I, Fro Magebleu, the internationally-acclaimed purveyor of fine cheeses to the world's top chefs and top restaurants, was saddled with a putrescible inventory of camembert with an imminent expiration date, and for the first time in my long cheesy career, I resolved the zugzwang dilemma by doubling its price and by slapping on it the voulu and recherche label of “rare superior aged camembert”.
