Immediately after he had concluded his presentation on 'The Vaalserberg: Orographic Precipitation in the Netherlands' he encouraged the class to avail themselves of complimentary facsimile copies of his seasonal graphs, but a feeding frenzy there was not, and after everyone had left he dejectedly tipped the pile of papers into the bin as so much ambsace.

When the blurry facsimile whirred out of the machine, only an expert in budgetary orography could have deciphered all the various charts depicting the peaks and valleys of future revenues and expenditures, but the accompanying announcement that the two sides were within an ambsace of agreeing to a new debt ceiling sent us all clamoring that it was our party alone which deserved the credit and in a feeding frenzy for our constituents' votes.
