Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

The way Gilbert told it, you'd imagine that he'd been becalmed for weeks in the Sargasso Sea, and in the throes of demented calenture had assayed to tread the seaweed-sward; but no, his 'jump the shark' moment had been when he'd got his feet a bit wet in the boating lake at Stanley Park, and he said how he'd felt all peely-wally and sorry for himself and how back at the digs his landlady had made him a nice cup of cocoa and bundled him off to his room where he'd only calmed down by counting the nervures of a dried leaf in a book of cyanotypes that he'd found under the bed.

One of my high school buddies, Ralph Z., thought he would impress and win over the homecoming queen, Samantha G., if he only reenacted the Fonz's 'jump the shark' waterskiing performance, but on the appointed day, he was seized by fear, he turned peely-wally and he succumbed to such an acute calenture that his knees collapsed at the fateful moment, propelling him straight into the predator's jaws, a tragedy which made Samantha laugh so hard that she popped more than one nervure.
