On her first day Ms Nopeddle's rendition before assembly of some tuneless Bach fugue was no doubt satisfactory enough, but then when my deputy told me that she was no feme covert but a bit on the side for one of our Governors, well,  I had no choice but forthwith to defenestrate the polysemous school 'mistress' .
