I'm the first to admit that when my astronomical observatory was looted last month, I unleashed a scathing tirade of vituperative curses (including, but by no means limited to, the hendiadys "sonofabitch and bastard and thieving friggin' slut!"); but what you have to understand is that among the swag the thief made away with was an ancient and priceless cosmogony, reputedly penned by none other than Mediocrates of Athens himself; and the loss of this rare text was a sore blow indeed. It was hard to believe the vituperation that spewed from the lips of the God-fearing right wing candidate after he was shown the swag to be proffered by the opposing party prior to the debate – buttons and pens espousing the evolutionary cosmogony of the earth after the Big Bang, using the double hendiadys “from cold and lifeless to live and teeming”.

When I took exception to the gross vituperation with which he berated me, just as I was on the point of vacating his premises encumbered by a heavy knapsack of swag,
he replied 'excuse my bitter and abusive language (if you'll forgive the routine hendiadys), but in relieving me of my computer you are depriving me of my notes on Chinese cosmogony, and without them I cannot for the life of me recall if the world is carried by four elephants supported by a tortoise or by four tortoises supported by an elephant'.
