I had a gentleman's agreement with the duke, that in return for the use of his summer castle, he should be allowed to ransack my hair for lice (a favorite pastime of his: for I assure you the duke is quite mad); but verily I came to regret this bargain, as he became mesmerized with my infested scalp, at one point crying out with almost orgasmic glee: "This is completely and utterly pediculous!"

The gentleman’s agreement to share a top hat between the magician and the hypnotist who preceded him on the program came to an abrupt end as the prestidigitator roared, “Verily, sir, I was mesmerized not by your spells, but by the appearance of my rabbit, whose formerly luxurious angora fur is now a pediculous fright wig!”.

Unknowingly, some time in the past, the insects and my scalp reached a gentlemen's agreement wherein I would become the rather pediculous host to this hardly symbiotic relationship; verily this agreement was bonded some time ago, for the lice were great enough in number to mesmerize any volunteer who offered to pick through my head with a stick and comb.

As Headmaster I had a gentleman's agreement with parents that they would not send their children to school infested with pediculous capititis, but at first assembly I was verily mesmerised by the amount of head scratching going on.
