For some time now, I have suspected that the anonymous blogger who signs his posts with the nom-de-Web "Clootie" (and whose utterances, if I may encapsulate them, bear a distinctly "sepulchral" savor, harking often to ghastly funereal tropes and themes of death and the grave) might well be none other than old "Scratch" himself, that wicked arch-fiend, foisting his vile contagion on humanity in a new guise. His sepulchral voice, which I had come to dread, booming through the castle library, my master deemed my efforts at blogging unworthy, saying "I can encapsulate your stupidity, you litlle clootie, in the fact that you took 'beelzebubsminion' as your nom de Web!"

As for my spiffing new nom de Web - Young Nick -  I blame old Clootie himself for breathing sulphurically in my left ear: 'Why not go for a truly sepulchral net identity that encapsulates all your manifold fiendishnesses, such as 'Diabolist' or 'Necromancer'?'
