Many were there to panegyrize him, and a cowboy shot of the great man -- much younger, shirtless, and tanned – was mounted on the stage, but no one realized that, as a macho agelast, he would not understand the witticism behind the elaborate costume and coquetry of the female impersonator who was acting as the Mistress of Ceremonies.
