Despite being the town’s only florist, Rose was ill at ease in her role as the judge of the best blooms in the local garden show, and took the stage in a swivet over the pruinose that she had noticed on the prize buds and foliage, the quonk from the contestants in attendance increasing her anxiety – and just then, the processional cortege emerged from the other end of the building, carrying the flowery finalists toward her.

"I'm in a veritable swivet over all this friggin' quonk!" cried the agitated Larry, as he alternately fussed with his broadcasting microphones and dusted the pruinose frost from a nearby peyote cactus; and once again, I had the feeling Larry was speaking some language none of the rest of us knew (to say nothing of the fact that he was distracting me from the televised funeral cortege of Sir Charles Mordant, in which I was keenly interested, as I had planted a bomb in the motorcade, and wished to make sure it detonated at the proper moment).
