Beverly Hills is crowded with hungry ghosts -- those who will do anything for “improvement” or the removal of imperfections, always searching for an elixir which will bestow a more youthful appearance, so they undergo plastic surgery to the extreme and over time look more and more skeletal – skin stretched over bone, and give rise to neoterisms such as “Botox” and the past tense “Botox-ed” for those unable to move their facial muscles or show much expression due to their quest to remove wrinkles, and the wellerism: “Beauty is only skin deep”, said the woman as she received her Botox injection.

“I’m not poor; I’m pre-rich”, said the average Joe who’d been listening to the Republican primary diatribes, and his wellerism spawned a neoterism “pre-rich”, from Mitt Romney’s presupposition that everyone can be wealthy with some effort, which seemed to leave Newt Gingrich behind as a hungry ghost on a perpetual quest for the elixir which would create sustained political power from baser materials, such as his lack of morals or personal family values.
