When it comes to the paraphernalia involved in  vulcanizing rubber, my henchman Fröderick Humperdinck is adamantine in his view: "Sulfur systems, peroxides, urethane crosslinkers, metallic oxides, duece, and acetoxysilane," he says with authority (and though I'm not necessarily proud of it, I must confess that right about here is where I usually let Fröderick know, by means of a swift but firm kick to the yarbles, that I haven't the foggiest idea what the hell he's talking about).

The detective had enough sulphur-measurement paraphernelia to determine that the tyre-making tycoon's accident was caused by too much vulcanization of the rubber used for his car tyres, which had rendered the tyres adamantine to road conditions -- presumably the work of his rival's henchmen.
