Dr. Cabra was often referred to as “the old goat”, not because he was Professor Emeritus, but because he had the hircine habit of eating obscene quantities of the muck served up at meal time by the campus food service, and was also notorious for writing an apologia on nearly any topic, based on minimal empirical information , and presenting such during interminable lectures where he also promoted the latest paraphernalia seen and purchased from late-night infomercials, leading to the popular title for his course, “Garbage in, garbage out.”.
