Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

Annie had made a couple of pomanders to hang in the galley of the old sloop, since her grandpa’s cooking tended to be redolent with the odors of old grease and onions, but the old man had had to tie up in the backwaters again because that princox Percy Slugbottom had moored his new yacht at the end of the dock, blocking access to others; however, the fancy new boat proved to be a canary in a coal mine for the changing climate when it was destroyed by an unexpected storm, and Grandpa’s boat did just fine.

With a burning and hypnotic frown, the elderly fortune teller moored me to my chair in her pomander-scented parlor and she insisted on selling me her "one-year membership plan" which promised to warn me "like a canary in a coal mine" of any adverse and unforeseen events for the next twelve months, but when I declined her offer, she touched her crystal ball and swore angrily that I was nothing more than a princox who would pay dearly for my effrontery.
