Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

It was so difficult to work at an accounting firm, especially during tax time, amortizing long lists of clients’ office equipment, when she wanted to plunge back into research for her novel, especially the onomastics of 18th century sailing, and the reminiscences of an old buccaneer who was writing of his heyday – encountering enemy ships, loading the guns, and the time the ropes broke loose from a cascabel and the cannon recoiled and crushed several of his shipmates, the sounds and smells of violence, and the attack as a prelude to plundering and pillaging, during which the jolly pirates’ behavior took an atavistic turn to the days of cave brutes with clubs.

My wife's claim that her penchant for spicy food was atavistic was bolstered by discovery in her genealogy of a 17th century ancestor who was in his heyday the biggest expert on chili peppers and somewhat of a scholar on spice onomastics until he suddenly died one day by choking on an oversized cascabel.
