In an attempt to be more transparent, it was decided that the current administration should eliminate as much government-speak as possible by getting rid of jargon and acronyms, thus making any public discussions more demotic, but it was difficult to understand if the decision to be more “discursive” meant staying with “business as usual” or changing to a more orderly and logical approach by using input from various sources including subject matter experts, rather than relying upon the former insouciance regarding deadlines and necessary work which was followed by an itchy trigger finger type of crisis management as the way to handle problems.

The elder professor, his speech demotic, his manner insouciant and his style of speech so discursive and deliberate, could only laugh when reminded of his younger self, a riotous pedagogue with a mouth like an itchy trigger finger waiting for the fight.
