Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

Unencumbered by an educated populace, in the age before reason, the magnificent medieval clockmakers used their matchless clockwork automatons to create the tableaus that so reinforced the teachings of the Church; my favorite, a simple everyman posed upon the clock tower, hourly tempted to damnation by the demon on his left proffering a calyculus human skull filled with mortal pleasure, and, on his right, his guardian angel proffering the scriptures as salvation; personally, I always hoped the fellow would someday grab the skull and make a run for it.

The solar-powered maglev "Hoverman-2.1" is an apt, complementary automaton to Amazon storehouse workers: with its calyculus carrier for 20 kilo payloads at its midriff (and unencumbered by frequent recharges and locomotive issues, and with it's mishap-avoiding safety features) it makes a perfect guardian angel.

Though he appreciated it, he was a little thirsty and disappointed when the beautiful automaton misheard him and benevolently completed all his day's work of calculus rather than preparing the coffee, when he pleaded,"my guardian angel, will you please unburden me of this time-sapping task of filling the calyculus, which encumbers my productivity?" When, moving like an automaton, I stepped onto the pavement of the busy interstate roadway, my nervous system was encumbered by the combined effects of marijuana and the little purple fungal calyculus I had found growing on the carcass of a squashed armadillo and popped into my mouth; and that I survived the crossing lends credence to the concept of a guardian angel.  (by Gravely)
