Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

Finding himself unexpectedly surrounded by a crowd, and with no other recourse, Oscar sought refuge from the ravages of his ochlophobia in a nearby coal mine where with a palpable sense of absurdity he came upon the proverbial "canary in a coal mine," a sacrificial victim the miners suspended in its cage with an iron ferrule to warn of an explosive methane build up. Jiang Li’s fear was palpable as he made his way through the marketplace, and not because of ochlophobia; he was always wary in a crowd because his enemies could hide so easily, but the canary in a coal mine event that added to his fright was noting that the ferrule on his broadsword had broken, leaving him with no effective weaponry and only his considerable kung fu skills as protection.

Striding warily through the crowds whilst battling hard against his ochlophobia, he was suddenly aware of a palpable tingle; the ferrule fastened around his finger began to beep alarmingly, and then a click; the army unit behind him quickly took cover, for he was merely a canary in a coal mine.
