The faintly blasphemous, but in this case forgivable begorra was the first word that began to circumvolve in his mind repeatedly, begorra, begorra, begorra, it went around as Brendan first saw the tumulus of ancient and holy loam that should have been covering the prehistoric resting place of his ancient forefathers, had, through a strange yet surely natural eolian process, been sculpted by the very wind itself from a simple mound into a coiled, two-headed serpent of silt and sand that to all intents and purposes appeared to be the barrow's new guardian.
