Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

But of course what the two reprobates did not know, could not have known, or imagined, in fact would have dismissed as codswallop, was that in Washington DC gossip travels faster than lightning; and the gossip mills around The White House grind exceedingly small, so fine that they can be sifted like flour, and while the old friends and lovers from Edinburgh were getting re-acquainted, and Doubleday had been introduced to a sweet girl called Bunny, just down the street, around the corner and in a booth in Ye Olde Georgetown Diner, disguised as Ladies of the Town, Sadie Moskowitz and Rose Mitnick were listening to every word, transmitted from the microphones planted in every room of that Pink juvenile bordello and picked up by their receiver before passing into their ears by the very latest Bluetooth earpieces, which allowed them to skip from room to room, almost as if they were Tooth Fairies; and in a third floor back room across the street from the Dolls House, Hyman Kaplan, standing behind the FBI Surveillance Officer was watching the video streamed from the cameras they had had planted in the house by the nice 'electricity guy' who had called there in the morning to 'check for leakage into the subsoil', which meant as little to Marie Doubleday (AKA Mrs McOgle) as they would to anyone else; the Mexican Gardener and the Hispanic Janitor were both on a retainer from Kaplan and reported everything they heard or saw back to him; and Secret Service Agent Adam Thoroughgood was, as his name suggests, a thoroughly decent, honourable All-American Boy who was thoroughly disgusted by the behaviour of The President's kinfolk and had told his wife so, and she being the cousin of Sadie Moskowitz's Jungian psychoanalyst's brother-in-law, that information travelled faster than a bush-fire in the arid scrublands of Australia; which was why everything said or done within the pink walls was being simultaneously watched, listened to and recorded for posterity and the courtroom (and tomorrow's late editions) with the latest, modern, slap-bang up-to-date state-of-the-art laser technology available in the country, and not for the prurience of the listeners and watchers, but for the sake of that country and for Democracy itself! Kaplan, who despised paedophiles as the scum of the earth, was pleased with the way this operation was panning out, a regular finesse: already a team of Child Protection Social Workers were waiting behind a squad of SWAT officers who, armed with warrants as well as weapons, were creeping silently into place; soon the Pink House would be surrounded, and on the word from Deputy DA Anders Mikkelson sitting in the control van with an easel displaying schematics of the house with positions of the occupants obtained by infra-red cameras, updated whenever any new information was sent from the drone overhead, passed down the chain of command to Lieutenant Gus Abelman, in charge on the ground; and at the throw of a switch, the Floodlights would illuminate the House like a movie set and the doors would be smashed down amid the shouts and commands of the officers swarming in and spreading like an infestation of beasties, and in less than five minutes would be secured, hopefully without the need for a shot to be fired – then, after the CSIs had fingerprinted, photographed and taken DNA swabs from everyone, the children would be taken into protective custody and the adults downtown to be arraigned before a 'so-called' Federal Judge and Hyman, Sadie and Rose would break the story!

Pierre worked at the easel with a professional's finesse, all the while cooing baby-talk codswallop in an effort to keep the fidgety little beastie that was his subject perched atop the plush satin cushion: sometimes he questioned the decisions he had made in life. (by umbraticus)
