Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

"It's JFK," said Howard, and "he don't look dead," said Fred, and like a spell had been broken, "it's him, ok," said Miranda, and they all came to their senses as President John Fitzgerald Kennedy joined them at their table; "thank you for coming tonight," said he, and the arch-criminals bowed their heads in some kind of mute obeisance, and JFK said: "I don't know what's going on, the last thing I remember is riding in a motorcade in Dallas, and then waking in this place yesterday, with a note in my pocket saying I could count on you guys – what date is it?" and Miranda told him, but he shook his head in disbelief: "seventy-four years!" he said, after doing the calculation, "I was born that day," said Howard, "and never allowed to forget it, but can I ask you, Mister President? who gave you our names? and why did you sign yourself as Sir Parlane MacFarlane? do you know him?" but the assassinated president shook his head, as if trying to clear it of some kind of fog: "your guesses are as good as mine, probably better," and Miranda asked him, when you woke up, what kind of state were you in?" she was no doubt thinking of the horrific Zapruder footage, showing pieces of if the President's head being blasted away, which she had seen many times over the years whenever the Assassination was being discussed because a new alternative or a fresh allegation and accusation arose, but JFK merely looked sheepish: "it was as if I had been fishified," he said, "drenched from head to toe in salt water, oh, and I had a hell of a headache, like someone had suckered me with a cosh or a mallet!" and Howard asked: "not a bullet?" and JFK chuckled, "would I be here now, talking to you guys, if I'd been shot in the head? you've seen too much Shakespeare," he added with a grin: "but my clothes were badly singed, as if I'd been in some kind of conflagration," and Fred, who had a penchant for gallows humour, said: "maybe you've been Through Hell and High Water!" and this time the others joined in with JFK's infectious laughter, till Miranda asked again: "Sir Parlane MacFarlane?" and JFK said: "it must've been him left me the note – see," and fishing a crumpled piece of paper from a pocket, he handed it over to her and she read: 'These three are the Power in Gotham City, invite them to meet here tomorrow, and give them my name . . . . .' she looked him in the eye and asked again: "do you know him?" but he shook his head and replied: "nope, I've never heard of the guy – just like I've never heard of you – but I have no knowledge of how I got here – oh, and a room key: 1313 – I slept pretty much since I got there, after asking the Concierge to send the invites, what's wrong?" for he saw the confusion in Miranda's eyes: "there is no room 1313 here, there's no 13th Floor, only 12," she: quickly included her two friends, "how about we go there, for some privacy, we wouldn't want the press to get hold of this," and JFK led the way to the elevator and showed them the button for the 13th Floor, and he was still chuckling as they quickly rose higher than was physically possible!
