Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

'Uncle' Hans took a breath: his brain not used to such stress was working widdershins, spiralling round the wrong way, so that everything seemed to be happening in reverse:- the proposition from the Americans, the roughing up at their hands – and that brutish one's boot! oh, his genitals hurt, so much that they were almost scene stealing, and Himmler's voice, or at least his heavy breathing was still coming through on the speakers; his eyes gave a cursory glance at the doors, but the Americans were in the way and there was no way he could get past them, which was when he saw a tiny money-spider weaving it's web in the corner behind the bully's head and suddenly he remembered an old story his grandmother used to tell him about Siegfried in a cave, having been twice driven back by the dragon's fire and so despairing that he can barely lift his sword; he is on the point of deciding that he will never defeat the dragon when he sees a money-spider swinging on a silken thread and trying to reach the rock opposite, it swung with all it's might, and failed, it tried again, and failed, and was on the point of climbing back up the thread and going further back into the cave, where there was less for his web to catch, so he probably faced starvation and an early death, but the little spider was determined, he swung himself with all his might and it looked as if he might be dashed to death when he struck the rock. but he seized it with all his legs, clung on, attached his silken thread and from them on it was an easy matter for him to spin his web; so Siegfried took up his sword for the third attempt to slay the dragon and marched bravely out of the cave; and Hans grandmother told him that if ever he felt there was no way forward for him to remember the little spider and say to himself, "if at first you don't succeed, try, try and try again!" and he looked up at the 'Good' American and found himself staring into the barrel of a pistol and he could see the man's finger whitening as it pulled on the trigger and the American said: "sorry, pal, but your time is up!"

Today I caught a cursory glimpse of a tiny arachnid: this money spider was scene-stealing from his comrades, weaving widdershins to their adroit web.

I saw a money spider on my desk
And gave it a cursory glance
It wove its widdershins ways around
I can't say I was entranced,
But that's because it was a tiny irritation
Scene-stealing from my work presentation
