Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

So it was that in the Here and Now, just after Beltane, in early May 2037, the hire car in which they had driven from Gotham City pulled into a Diner just a short hop short of their Target, MacFarlane Castle Hotel on the coast of Prince Edward island, Nova Scotia, and disgorged it's rather weary passengers, and they took stock: MacFarlane Diner – they were definitely in Clan Territory – was painted in the Clan Tartan without and fully upholstered within; Hyman Kaplan could feel the black dog gripping him by the throat and he felt scrofulous, this was ever the way as he approached the target of an investigation; it wasn't that he feared or doubted his mission, particularly on this occasion, accompanied as he was by his life-long friends and fellow journalists, Rose Mitnick and Sadie Moskowitz, and the two Scottish Cops, DI Isa Urquhart and DS Milly Millican, all prepared with their false identities, but by now he knew that their nemesis, Sir Parlane MacFarlane and his sidekick, Dominic Doubleday had been released from custody in the Bronx by that idiot, Chief Justice Lemuel Gulliver and were undoubtedly the passengers in the MacFarlane helicopter which had passed overhead a couple of hours ago and by now would have arrived at their destination; it changed things, for MacFarlane might recognise him as the supposed medic who had been present as Duck Trumpet-Trousers had been euthenised when his life-support system in the Medical Suite in Trumpet Tower in Gotham had been switched off, so he, Kaplan, would need to use one of the disguise moustaches he always carried on a job – the four women could change their appearances with wigs and make-up; no, that wasn't a problem, it was just that very soon they could be in the same room as the man who single-handedly had decimated entire populations in his career of crime and mayhem through eight centuries that they knew of and an untold number in the future-yet-to-come; Kaplan felt he was at a crossroad – all his life, together with Rose and Sadie – he had exposed shysters, crooks, flimflams, bunco merchants and scammers, quick-quacks, Nippon-merchants and even a few mass-murderers, and that's just the politicians, who made so-called professional criminals look like amateurs – but this was somehow personal; they had thought the two villains had died in the pink Dolls House explosion twenty years ago, so what guarantees were there that they could either be captured and extradited to Scotland for murders committed two decades ago, or permanently erased – that would be his choice, if he had any say in the matter, but their ability to resurface any time, any place, any where, gave him doubts which manifested in uncontrollable symptoms of stress and anxiety; he ordered a triple-ristretto and a slice of pumpkin pie with double cream; just the job, the caffeine hit him exactly where he needed it and he now felt confident and determined to nail the bastard! literally, thanks to the nail gun and eight-inch silver nails he had borrowed from a friendly Vampire Hunter on the Lower East Side: "spreadeagle him on the floor," his friend had advised, "then a nail in each wrist to hold him down, both knees, one in the heart and number eight between the eyes!"
