Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

Which is why, at the very moment Martin Elginbrod reached the pinnacle of Arthur's Seat and threw up his arms, apparently beseeching some unknown Deity to speak to him as though he were Moses, Sir Principle MacFarlane, leaning upon the binnacle on the Bridge of The Cutty Sark in 1843, lost his concentration as his mind seemed to spiral away down memory lane and the tempestuous waves of the Irish Sea made the contents of his stomach churn and chunder, and just before he dashed for the rail he shouted at the captain: "I am but mad north-north-west, but when the wind is southerly, I know a hawk from a handsaw," and Captain Para Handy, a grizzled old Scot who thought he had seen and heard everything in his forty years at sea wondered why this strange passenger, with his rag-tag party of travellers, should be quoting Hamlet at him, but the answer was lost as MacFarlane tumbled over the rail and disappeared!
