I asked, expecting some reason for my Aunts' calling him in: "aye," he said enthusiastically: "yon bunny chow o May's is sumpn else awthegethir – be'er than the hair o the dug, eh? nudge, nudge, wink, wink!" but I was already leaving the room, not being in the mood for his innuendo, particularly when added to the fact that Isa, Milly and I hadn't got any of Auntie May's renowned cob loaf stuffed with Bengal Lancer Lamb Curry last night, but he had!
