Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?

Attempts to resolve the Quandary:

"Am starvin," said Connor, and he and Alec sat at one of the tables and watched MacFarlane and Ruby, "is there no waiting staff?" asked Alec, blandly, while Connor remarked that he felt as if he hadn't eaten for two hundred and seventeen years, then asked: "so this is 2020? jeepers, what's it like?" and Ruby crossed to their table and joined them: "it's only the Hospital Cafeteria, you won't be able to get much at this time," but Alec shook his head, "Jasmine Thai Restaurant, it says here," handing the menu to Ruby who stared at it, confused, then relaxed, "sometimes the overlays and cells get misplaced, or new lighting can highlight what used to be there, what exactly can you see?" and Alec gestured towards one of the walls: "that's a Pactolian wallpaper, see the golden hues, like sunset? it's magnificent," but only Connor nodded and MacFarlane joined them and whispered to Alec: "things are different here, it's like in the Uranian Drift Mines, no-one outside would believe the truth, here they accept contradictions and Impossibility Theory," at which Alec nodded and smiled, then said: "have you changed? really, I'd like to know, but I may abstain until I see it with my own eyes," and didn't flinch when MacFarlane put a hand on his arm and said: "have you ever had a headwark that so dominates that you can't walk a straight line, or hear people speaking to you, and the music in your head is playing at 50 decibels but no-one else can hear it?" and Alec laughed, "crisis of conscience is it? what's brought this on?
