Quandary Resolution 1083
bayonet, asterism, vulnerable, bloviate
Stargazing was young Henry's imperfect escape from noisy relatives at dinner: he would slip out to the yard, gaze heavenwards, and “discover” new constellations, but when he returned to the dining room filled with his bloviating uncles, these know-it-alls would bayonet his findings, claiming that every constellation Henry saw was just an asterism, bringing the vulnerable boy to tears and teaching him to keep his discoveries secret.
