In the after glow of love, shielded by the thicket of Hawthorn’s from the prying eyes of small minds who would penalize it and label it ‘unnatural’ or something clinical like Pygmalionism; Vernon gazed into the empyreal blue of her eyes and was driven, yet again, to join himself to his ‘anatomically correct, lifelike-vinyl’ companion who never complained or scolded him for his passion or his haste.
