Although assistant teacher Ollie Slipman demonstrated no knowledge of astrophysics, his oleaginous demeanor allowed him to finagle the coveted sinecure of instructing Advanced Placement Astronomy, where he needed do nothing more than oil and rotate an ancient orrery, a crude representation of celestial motion, while his brainiac students ignored him and developed computer simulations of the same.
