Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 1308
philippic, interpose, nidifugous, goad
Sean McGuinness, age 15, eldest of five, and currently stuffing clothing into a backpack preparatory to running away from his embarrassing parents and their unimaginative bourgeois attitudes, would turn out to be laying the groundwork for equally nidifugous siblings who, goaded in their turn by the same disgusting circumstances into delivering what their mother came to call "the condemnation oration" (and their father "another damn philippic"), invariably followed up by leaving home in a huff, despite their mother's halfhearted attempt to interpose herself between them and the door while hiding her disappointed certainty that they'd be back in a week to ten days.
