Quandary Resolution 1361
aeolian, semese, vexillology, quintessential
The vexillum, a red linen banner painted with the figure Victory standing on a globe, came to light in the early nineteenth century when the continued erosion of the Libyan desert by Aeolian turbidity currents (better known as "dust storms") uncovered a makeshift tomb containing the bodies of eight legionaries whose semese remains, gnawed but still mostly intact, reminded the discoverers poignantly of the quintessential 8-berth goatskin tent of the contubernium.
