Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 1385
antipoetic, counterplot, compadre, couvade
He was a plump dentist and his bright yellow Hummer (which he bought on sale, was easy to find in mall parking lots, and accommodated his six children comfortably) made the family a laughingstock on account of its being so out of sync with a Hummer's antipoetic image - that it could only be driven by a large, earthy loner, of desperate significance, navigating with his muscular compadres around IEDs on Highway 11 from Baghdad to Fallujah - so after some months of plotting and counterplotting by family members, he was persuaded to trade it in for a brand new, maraschino red Ford Couvade.
