Simply macerate the appendage in herb-infused pond water for 24 hours, then bake it in the sun while performing a simple heliolatrous ritual (the details of which are to be found on page 762), waiting until the weathercock has made its 666th turn, and by then the remedy will have achieved the distinctive flyblown appearance that indicates it is mature, authentic, and ready for consumption.
