Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 1423
scatology, soporific, Wellerism, macabre
Fully expecting an entertaining illustrated lecture on scat singing à la Louis Armstrong or Ella Fitzgerald, a group of cool cats was occupying the front row, but was much perplexed to find that, after a soporific fifteen minutes of irrelevant, obscure preamble, the scatological speaker Professor MacFlecknoe launched into an expletive-laden panegyric on excrement, soon prompting one of their number to drop his pants and do a moonie while delivering the Wellerism 'Shit, I'd like to table a motion too di-doo-baa-doo-baa' as the speaker was methodically lining up each macabre specimen in order of tactile plasticity.
