Quandary Resolution 1424
scatology, soporific, Wellerism, macabre
"All things must pass", sighed weary Dr. Applebaum, pioneering coprologist, as he picked his way carefully through the coyote droppings on the canyon trail, although the soporific effect of the sun and silence resulted in several seconds going by before he realized he had produced quite a creditable Wellerism for a scatologist, at which point his flagging spirits perked up considerably, to the point that he whistled Saint-Saens "Danse Macabre" as he navigated homeward through the accumulation of Canidae dung.
