Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 1434
carucage, wishy-washy, Antaean, vespertine
Added to an already burdensome number of taxes, a carucage on arable land was proposed, but David's mind, as he sat in the vespertine twilight looking out over his fields, was peaceful because he was certain that the combined protests of his fellow farmers - who drew their Antaean strength from the fact that they fed everyone in the valley - would be more than enough to overturn the tentative plans of the town treasurer, a nervous, wishy-washy man who never left his office and had probably never lifted anything heavier than a pencil.
