Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 1550
troglodyte, yob, vicarious, spatchcock
The antihero's fate is believable perhaps, but this spatchcocked screenplay is short on exposition: it doesn't show how Colin, a young man when we first meet him -- a beer-soaked, street-fighting, womanizing yob -- grows into an old troglodyte, a relic who lives alone in a matchbox of a flat, sustaining himself on stale chips, old newspapers, and what vicarious satisfaction he can extract from the hooting and oinking sounds of the neighboring couple's bedroom escapades.
